21

And talking of youth...Next year, New Welsh Review reaches the grand old age of 21. We'll be celebrating 21 years of Wales's leading literary quarterly both within the pages of the magazine and elsewhere. I'll keep you posted on news and events.

In the meantime, please do contact New Welsh Review with your views on the magazine - past, present and future. I am keen to hear from you.

Dear Kathryn,

What a breath of fresh air!

I have just stumbled across the new blog section of the NWR website, and must congratulate your efforts which have eliminated every major concern I have had about the magazine over the last few years. And you've not published an issue yet!

I am now looking forward with immense enthusiasm both to the magazine's 21st birthday issue and the BayLit event (the Academi must also be congratulated for its youth-oriented programming of this year's festival).

The young writers of Wales can no longer carp about being left out in the cold; it is now up to us to 'put up or shut up': to write with flair and originality and get involved!

I look forward to meeting you at the 'Pinot Grigio' event which promises to be excellent...

Viva la revolution and good luck with the first issue!
